Finnish Tourist Board

The Finnish Tourist Board was established in 1973 under the Ministry of Trade and Industry (now Ministry of Employment and the Economy) to promote tourism to Finland.

Finnish Tourist Board works in close cooperation with and for the Finnish travel industry, implementing and financing marketing projects with the industry. One of the joint goals is to develop more enticing, competitive products for visitors to Finland.

In 2010, Finland received 6.2 million foreign visitors. The number of foreign visitors increased by nine per cent from the year 2009, or by nearly half a million travellers.
