A National Quality Improvement Process for the Finnish Travel Industry

Quality 1000

A national quality improvement process for the travel industry was launched by the Finnish Tourist Board in 2001. There are now over 600 companies in QUALITY 1000 and fieldwork is intensifying - the goal being to include 1000 companies.

QUALITY 1000, the quality programme for tourism companies, offers tools for establishing continuous quality work, for the follow-up of this work, and for the systematic improvement of quality.

Quality Network

Quality Network, the follow-up system of QUALITY 1000, is a parameter comparison system for the travel industry providing your company with up-to-date comparison data on:
- Customer satisfaction
- Personnel satisfaction
- Key figures relating to the industry

Quality Network is a reliable source of comparison data. The data is shown as a mean figure in which the results of individual companies cannot be distinguished. Quality Network offers the possibility to print out nation-wide data or data specific to a region, a line of business, or, for example, a tourist centre. With Quality Network, a company has an access to a comprehensive comparison data bank, and will know exactly how its business compares with its competitors.

Quality Network also offers, as a back-office function, an electric Quality Workbook for use as a tool for quality development.

By being part of Quality Network, a company will have access to the most important data bank in the Finnish tourist industry. This data bank is used by marketers, sales people, and product developers when searching for reliable and high-quality business partners.

Self-assessment training for certified / quality-audited companies and the integration of their systems into the QUALITY 1000 programme.
